LUSELAND'S YOUTH GROUP... what's that?

The Luseland Youth Group is a group of teens from Luseland and surrounding communities who believe God's word to be truth. They come from different churches & want to grow in their relationship with God & reach out to others. They will be having regular youth events, usually once a month on Friday evenings... a schedule will be out shortly. These events include unusual games, activities, music, food & speakers; as well as travelling to nearby communities to join other youth group events.

To continue to serve the youth in our communities, the Youth Group will hold monthly fundraisers to help support some of the larger trips planned throughout the year for all who want to come along. Events they are looking at are: YC in Edmonton, Eston College days, Legacy in Calgary & YQ in Caronport.

THIS MONTH'S FUNDRAISER: Pancake Brunch complete with toppings & sausage on Sunday, October 3rd from noon till 2 pm at Luseland Alliance Church. It's hosted & served by our youth... donations happily accepted.

Watch for monthly events... times & places to be announced.

What's been happening so far??
-August 21, fourteen took part in Calgary's Rock the River Music event. Top name bands like: Skillet and Hawk Nelson shared music & stories of how God has been working in their lives. Franklin Graham shared & asked that all important question: what will you do with Jesus?

-August 22... that same group served 9 am - 1 pm at Mustard Seed's Soup Kitchen in the Industrial section of Calgary. Their help included preparing: 360 lunch bags, 640 sandwiches, 22 racks of bacon, 1,200 portion cups of peanut butter & jelly and serving 190 lunches. They also entertained with music from some of the favourite camp songs from the summer. It was a great weekend with opportunity to take part as well to give back & serve those in need.
